Wellness Matters | Summer 2020 7 Expanded availability for rheumatology appointments Rheumatologist Kevin Latinis, MD, PhD, who specializes in the treatment of arthritis, other rheumatic diseases and autoimmune disorders, is expanding his practice at Cass Regional Medical Center to three days per week. Dr. Latinis sees patients from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays, in the Specialists Clinic. Through Sept. 8, he will also be in the clinic on Mondays; after Sept. 8, he will be in the clinic Tuesday through Thursday. Dr. Latinis is board-certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas; attended medical school at the University of Iowa; and completed his internship, residency and fellowship training at Barnes Jewish Hospital (affiliated with Washington University’s School of Medicine) in St. Louis. Cass Regional welcomes additional oncologists Cass Regional Medical Center and oncologist Jaswinder Singh, MD, are pleased to announce that oncologists Preethi Ramachandran, MD, and Nicholas D. Shuler, DO, of MidAmerica Cancer Care, are now seeing patients in the Specialists Clinic at Cass Regional. Dr. Ramachandran received her training at Kilpauk Medical College in India. She completed her residencies in internal medicine at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio and North Bristol NHS Trust in the United Kingdom (U.K.) and fellowships in hematology/oncology at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in New York and the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Trust in the U.K. Dr. Ramachandran is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She will see patients every Tuesday as of July 21. Dr. Shuler received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kansas City University. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Henry Ford Macomb in Michigan and his fellowship in hematology/oncology at Larkin Community Hospital in Florida. Dr. Shuler is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He will see patients the fourth Monday of each month starting Aug. 24.
